Pembuatan dan Sosialisasi Early Warning System untuk Banjir di Dusun Wunut, Sriharjo

Laboratorium Sistem Komputer dan Jaringan (Lab SKJ) Departemen Ilmu Komputer dan Elektronika (DIKE), Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (FMIPA), Universitas Gadjah Mada bersama Elins Research Club (ERC) telah  mengembangkan dan memasang sistem Early Warning System (EWS) untuk mitigasi banjir di Dusun Wunut, Kalurahan Sriharjo, Kepanewon Imogiri, Kab. Bantul yang diberi nama G-Connect. Acara yang berlangsung dalam beberapa tahap ini dimulai pada 16 September 2024 dengan survei lapangan untuk pengenalan medan sehingga  memahami kondisi lapangan. Pada 28 September 2024, tim kembali hadir ke lokasi untuk menentukan titik pemasangan sensor node.

Pemasangan alat G-Connect  dilakukan pada tanggal 19 Oktober 2024. G-Connect  dipasang di titik strategis untuk memastikan keefektifan fungsi sistem dalam memantau kondisi lingkungan secara real-time. Pada tanggal 26 Oktober 2024 merupakan puncak acara dengan diadakannya kegiatan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat sekitar. Pada kegiatan sosialisasi ini, Lab. SKJ melibatkan Divisi Sosial Masyarakat Himpunan Mahasiswa Elektronika dan Instrumentasi (Div. Sosmas HMEI) dan  Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Kabupaten Bantul yang diwakili oleh Bapak Nur Eta Efendi, S.T. Tujuan sosialisasi ini adalah untuk memperkenalkan fungsi EWS itu sendiri dan G-Connect yang merupakan sistem EWS yang dibangun serta memberikan edukasi kepada warga masyarakat mengenai langkah-langkah mitigasi bencana.

Acara ini dihadiri oleh sejumlah dosen dan peneliti DIKE UGM, termasuk Dr. Agfianto Eko Putra, M.Si., selaku Kepala Laboratorium Sistem Komputer dan Jaringan, serta beberapa dosen lainnya seperti Triyogatama Wahyu Widodo, S.Kom., M.Kom., Drs. Abdul Ro’uf, M.I.Kom., Dr. Mardhani Riasetiawan, S.E. Akt., M.T., Muhammad Husni Santriaji, S.Si., M.T., Ph.D., sebagai anggota Lab. SKJ dan Bakhtiar Alldino Ardi Sumbodo, S.Si., M.Cs., sebagai dosen pembimbing HMEI. Kehadiran mereka menunjukkan komitmen penuh DIKE UGM dalam mendukung kegiatan-kegiatan berbasis riset untuk kepentingan masyarakat.

Dalam kesempatan ini, sebagai simbol kerja sama yang baik, Dr. Agfianto Eko Putra, M.Si. menyerahkan plakat penghargaan kepada Bapak Sugiyanto, Kepala Padukuhan  Wunut. Penyerahan plakat ini menjadi tanda apresiasi atas dukungan dan keterlibatan masyarakat setempat dalam proyek ini. 

Dengan terselenggaranya rangkaian kegiatan tersebut, diharapkan G-Connect yang dipasang dapat membantu warga Dusun Wunut untuk lebih siap dalam menghadapi potensi banjir, meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan mereka, dan mendukung perwujudan desa tangguh bencana.
