DIKE Goes To School : Membangun Generasi Unggul di Era Digital bersama Pelajar Palembang

Palembang, 4-5 Februari 2025 – Departemen Ilmu Komputer dan Elektronika (DIKE) Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) mengadakan program DIKE Goes To School dengan melakukan kunjungan ke beberapa sekolah di Palembang. Sekolah-sekolah yang dikunjungi dalam kegiatan ini antara lain SMA PUSRI Palembang, SMA Negeri 17 Palembang, SMA Ignatius Global School Palembang, dan SMA Patra Mandiri Palembang.

Program ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi kepada para siswa mengenai jalur masuk ke Universitas Gadjah Mada serta memperkenalkan dua program studi unggulan yang ada di DIKE, yaitu Ilmu Komputer dan Elektronika & Instrumentasi (Elins). Dengan adanya kegiatan ini, diharapkan para siswa memiliki wawasan yang lebih luas mengenai peluang studi di UGM, khususnya dalam bidang teknologi dan sains.

Dalam setiap kunjungan, tim dari DIKE UGM disambut dengan antusias oleh para siswa dan guru. Sesi presentasi yang disampaikan oleh perwakilan dosen dan mahasiswa DIKE mencakup berbagai aspek penting, seperti kurikulum, prospek karier, serta keunggulan masing-masing program studi.

Selain itu, para siswa juga mendapatkan kesempatan untuk bertanya langsung mengenai berbagai aspek perkuliahan, pengalaman belajar di UGM, serta tips dan strategi dalam menghadapi seleksi masuk perguruan tinggi. Interaksi yang aktif ini menunjukkan tingginya minat siswa terhadap bidang ilmu komputer dan elektronika.

Kegiatan DIKE Goes To School bukan hanya sekadar sosialisasi akademik, tetapi juga sebagai ajang untuk menginspirasi para siswa agar lebih mengenal dan tertarik dengan dunia teknologi. Dengan semakin berkembangnya era digital dan otomatisasi, bidang Ilmu Komputer serta Elektronika & Instrumentasi memiliki peran yang semakin penting dalam berbagai sektor industri.

Para siswa yang mengikuti kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat lebih termotivasi untuk mengejar pendidikan di bidang teknologi, baik melalui jalur SNBP, SNBT, maupun Ujian Mandiri UGM.

Ke depan, DIKE UGM berencana untuk terus mengadakan kegiatan serupa di berbagai kota lainnya di Indonesia. Dengan demikian, semakin banyak pelajar yang bisa mendapatkan informasi langsung mengenai program studi yang ditawarkan, serta termotivasi untuk melanjutkan pendidikan tinggi di bidang teknologi dan sains.

Melalui DIKE Goes To School, UGM terus berupaya menjangkau lebih banyak calon mahasiswa potensial dan membangun generasi yang siap menghadapi tantangan dunia digital di masa depan.

Program ini juga berkontribusi dalam pencapaian Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (Sustainable Development Goals/SDGs), khususnya pada tujuan keempat, yaitu Pendidikan Berkualitas dengan meningkatkan akses informasi pendidikan yang berkualitas bagi siswa sekolah menengah. Selain itu, dengan mendorong minat pada teknologi dan inovasi, kegiatan ini juga mendukung tujuan kedelapan, Pekerjaan Layak dan Pertumbuhan Ekonomi, serta tujuan kesembilan, Industri, Inovasi, dan Infrastruktur. Dengan adanya program ini, DIKE UGM berperan dalam membangun sumber daya manusia yang kompetitif dan siap berkontribusi dalam pembangunan berkelanjutan.
