Registration of Postgraduate Program

Applicant Requirement for Semester Gasal T.A. 2024/2025

Applicants who meet the requirements below may apply to become participants of the master’s program in the same field of study as their undergraduate study or other subject areas approved by the Study Program Leader:
  1. Recent colour photographs, with formal dress and formal pose (face facing the camera) using a blue background.
  2. Original diploma certificate or a copy of diploma certificate that has been legalized. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited Study Program in the appropriate field of science and/or related to the desired Master’s program.
    Special applicants of overseas graduates must have a diploma equivalency document from DIKTI.
  3. Original transcript or a copy of the transcript that has been legalized, with a GPA of S2 as follows:
    • ≥ 2.50 on a scale of 4 or equivalent, for a graduate of the accredited A study program, or;
    • ≥ 2.75 on a scale of 4 or equivalent, for graduates of the accredited B study program, or;
    • 3.00 on a scale of 4 or equivalent, for graduates of accredited C study program.
  4. Certificate of study program accreditation at Undergraduate or equivalent level, with the following conditions:
    • Current accreditation is proven by the certificate scan or the print screen of the accreditation statement from the valid BAN-PT page.
    • Study Program whose accreditation is in the process of extension, proven by the receipt of the submission of accreditation forms to DIKTI, not a letter from the College concerned.
    • Especially for foreign graduate applicants, the accreditation proof is the Letter of Decision of Foreign Diploma Competition (Surat Keputusan Penyataraan Ijazah Luar Negeri) from DIKTI. If the accreditation document is invalid, it will not be processed further.
  5. Certificate of Academic Potential Test results with a minimum score of 450 and proved by a valid certificate, which is a maximum of 2 years from the date of issue of the certificate (choose one):
    • Tes Potensi Akademik (TPA) BAPPENAS
    • Tes Potensi Akademik Pascasarjana (PAPs) UGM
    • Tes Potensi Dasar Akademik Pusat Layanan Tes Indonesia (TPDA PLTI).
  6. Certificate of English proficiency test results with a minimum score equivalent to ITP TOEFL 400 and proven with a valid certificate, which is maximum 2 years from the date of issuance of the certificate. Certificate of recognized English proficiency is (choose one):
    • Academic English Proficiency Test (AcEPT) from UGM with a minimum score of 149, or;
    • International English Testing System (IELTS) from an institution recognized by IDP with a minimum score of 4.0, or;
    • Internet-Based (iBT) TOEFL from an institution recognized by IIEF with a minimum score of 30, or;
    • Institutional Testing Program (ITP) TOEFL of the institutions recognized by IIEF with a minimum score of 400, or;
    • Test of English Proficiency (TOEP) from the DIKTI-recognized Indonesian Test Service Center (PLTI) with a minimum score of 27 for lecturer certification.
  7. Confidential recommendation from 2 (two) people who know prospective Students at the previous education level. Academic Advisors and/or other persons deemed authorized, for example, the boss of the prospective student’s workplace. Link to give recommendation online will be sent by UGM UM Committee to the recommender via email. Make sure the recipient’s email address is an active email address.
  8. Health certificate from the Hospital, Puskesmas or Clinic that have permission from the Government / private.
  9. Special terms:
    • Projected wishes of prospective students in the Master Program which includes among others the topic/interest of research plan as well as the reasons and expectations of the selected program, the research topic plan, and the plan after completion of the course (format can be downloaded here)
    • Pass the Written exam or Passed the Preliminary Class of Master Program in Computer Science.
  10. Study permit or study assignment from the agency for those already working (the format can be downloaded here)
