  • Overview:

    Recent regional and international market labor data has shown worthy of attention increment in availability, especially in the industry where technology heavily change their business. Nonetheless, there is still a wide gap between the abilities trained in the world of higher education and the demand industrial world needs. Electronics and Instrumentation is one of five strategic industries that has been approved by the minister of industry in Making Indonesia 4.0 roadmap. The other four: food and beverages, clothes, automotive, and chemistry, are encouraged to adopt Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Robotics and 3D to achieve a significant competitive edge.

    Currently, the Electronic and Instrumentation Program has a considerably high demand and as many resources as necessary to develop an international undergraduate program. The program is an “A” national accreditation institution and already get its first ASIIN accreditation. The program has high profile human resources, and excellent research and community services activities. There are already some international achievements as well.

    To achieve performance indicator of an international program for both on faculty and university level, and to support student mobility both incoming and outgoing indicator, the department of computer science and electronics opens an international undergraduate program in the field of electronics and instrumentation.

    The vision of this program is being a nationally superior and internationally qualified program in education, learning process, development and implementation of wide ranges electronics and instrumentation application with highly qualified products, and producing graduates who possesses superior intellectual, strong moral character, competent, highly capable in science and technology and able to play an active role in the community, for the glory of Indonesia in particular and mankind in general.

    The program has the following missions:

    1. To build and develop the capacity of the undergraduate program in its learning process implementation to the level of postgraduates program and produce internationally-acknowledged graduates from any potential Indonesian citizen

    2. To build and develop electronics and instrumentation research groups able to carry out fundamental and applied research in a responsible and integrated manner with international standard, for the sake of prosperity of the nation and humanity.

    Expanding the role of electronics and instrumentation utilization to be recognized as significant added values for prosperity and life quality of society both in material and spiritual.

    International Exposure Program

    The difference between this international class program and the regular program can be described in the following points:

    1. Communication is in English

    2. The number of students in each class in the international program is more limited to ensure the academic learning quality

    3. The student is required to have at least one international exposure to the following programs:

      • International Internship
      • International Competition
      • International Conference

    Universitas Gadjah Mada is a great place to study Electronics and Instrumentation. International Undergraduate Program in Electronics and Instrumentation has limited space.
