Vision

The vision of the Undergraduate Program in Computer Science, Department of Computer Science and Electronics, Universitas Gadjah Mada is: “To become a Computer Science Study Program with a reputation for developing algorithms and intelligent computing for the betterment of society.”

Mission

The mission of the Computer Science Study Program at Gadjah Mada University is to provide an environment that can develop computer science graduates who have a strong foundation of knowledge, are professional, think critically, scientifically, are always curious and open, adaptive and solution-oriented, and have social sensitivity.

Objective and Strategy

The aim of the UGM Computer Science Study Program is to create an excellent Computer Science Study Program in Indonesia with international achievements and reputation through the following strategies:

  1. International standard education that contains innovative, soft skills, and knowledge of the latest technology to produce graduates who are competitive, innovative, responsible and have high confidence.

  2. Environmentally sound research that becomes a national and international reference and can provide solutions to the nation’s problems based on the wealth of human and natural resources as well as local wisdom by involving stakeholders.

  3. Community service based on science, appropriate technology, and advocacy that is able to encourage self-reliance and community welfare in a sustainable manner and make campus a vehicle for developing science and technology innovation for the community.

  4. The development of human resources, organizations and governance that are professional, fair, transparent, and able to work together to support the implementation of a learning process that is adaptive to Industry 4.0.

 

University Values

The main values used by the university referring to the Strategic Plan Document of Gadjah Mada University 2017-2022 and adopted by the Study Program are: (a) Pancasila values which include the values of divinity, humanity, unity, democracy, deliberation , and justice; (b) Scientific values which include values of universality and objectivity of science, academic freedom and academic pulpit, appreciation of reality and truth for civility, benefit, and happiness; (c) Cultural values which include tolerance, human rights, and diversity.
