DIKE Goes To School: Membangun Generasi Teknologi Bersama Pelajar Pontianak

Pontianak, 4 – 5 Februari 2025 – Departemen Ilmu Komputer dan Elektronika (DIKE) Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) mengadakan kunjungan edukatif ke beberapa sekolah di Pontianak, Kalimantan Barat. Kegiatan bertajuk DIKE Goes To School ini menyasar empat sekolah, yakni SMA Negeri 1, SMA Negeri 8, SMA Negeri 4, dan SMA Negeri 3. Tujuan utama dari kunjungan ini adalah memberikan informasi terkait jalur masuk UGM serta memperkenalkan program studi Ilmu Komputer dan Elektronika dan Instrumentasi (Elins) kepada para siswa kelas XII.

Sebagai salah satu universitas terbaik di Indonesia, UGM terus berupaya meningkatkan akses informasi mengenai pendidikan tinggi bagi calon mahasiswa di seluruh Indonesia. Melalui kegiatan DIKE Goes To School, tim dari DIKE UGM memberikan sosialisasi mengenai berbagai jalur penerimaan mahasiswa baru, seperti SNBP (Seleksi Nasional Berdasarkan Prestasi), SNBT (Seleksi Nasional Berdasarkan Tes), dan jalur mandiri. Pemaparan ini diharapkan dapat membantu siswa dalam mempersiapkan diri menghadapi seleksi masuk perguruan tinggi.

Selain itu, para siswa juga mendapatkan informasi mengenai kehidupan perkuliahan di UGM, fasilitas akademik dan non-akademik yang tersedia, serta peluang karir bagi lulusan Ilmu Komputer dan Elektronika dan Instrumentasi.

Dalam sesi pengenalan program studi, tim DIKE UGM menjelaskan secara mendalam mengenai dua program unggulan, yaitu Ilmu Komputer dan Elektronika dan Instrumentasi. Program Ilmu Komputer membekali mahasiswa dengan keterampilan di bidang pemrograman, kecerdasan buatan, keamanan siber, hingga pengolahan data besar (big data). Sementara itu, program Elins berfokus pada desain sistem elektronik, instrumentasi, robotika, serta teknologi sensor dan aktuator.

Selain pemaparan materi, tim DIKE UGM juga memberikan demonstrasi singkat mengenai beberapa proyek penelitian mahasiswa, seperti pengembangan aplikasi berbasis kecerdasan buatan dan sistem kendali berbasis Internet of Things (IoT). Para siswa tampak antusias dan aktif bertanya mengenai berbagai aspek keilmuan serta prospek karier di bidang teknologi.

Melalui program DIKE Goes To School, DIKE UGM berharap dapat terus menginspirasi dan mendorong lebih banyak siswa untuk melanjutkan studi di bidang ilmu komputer dan elektronika, serta berkontribusi dalam perkembangan teknologi di Indonesia.

Dengan semangat menyebarkan ilmu dan wawasan, DIKE UGM akan terus berkomitmen untuk menjangkau lebih banyak sekolah di berbagai daerah di Indonesia dalam upaya mencetak generasi unggul di bidang teknologi. Kegiatan ini juga sejalan dengan Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), khususnya SDG 4: Pendidikan Berkualitas dengan memastikan akses pendidikan tinggi yang inklusif dan merata, serta SDG 9: Industri, Inovasi, dan Infrastruktur dengan mendorong lebih banyak siswa untuk berkontribusi dalam pengembangan teknologi dan inovasi di masa depan.
