DIKE UGM dan SBMI Kuala Lumpur Selenggarakan Mini Seminar Literasi Keamanan Digital untuk Pekerja Migran Indonesia

Kuala Lumpur, 26 Juni 2025 – Departemen Ilmu Komputer dan Elektronika (DIKE) FMIPA UGM bekerja sama dengan Serikat Buruh Migran Indonesia (SBMI) Kuala Lumpur menyelenggarakan mini seminar bertema literasi keamanan digital bagi Pekerja Migran Indonesia (PMI). Kegiatan ini digelar pada Rabu, 26 Juni 2025, sebagai bagian dari upaya meningkatkan kesadaran dan kewaspadaan terhadap ancaman siber di kalangan PMI, khususnya yang bekerja di sektor informal.

Acara diawali dengan sambutan dari Penasehat SBMI Kuala Lumpur yang menekankan pentingnya perlindungan identitas digital di era serba daring. Ketua Departemen DIKE UGM, Wahyono, S.Kom., Ph.D., turut hadir dan menyampaikan komitmen UGM dalam mendukung pemberdayaan komunitas diaspora Indonesia melalui edukasi digital yang tepat sasaran.

Sesi seminar menghadirkan Dr. Aina Musdholifah, S.Kom., M.Kom., Ph.D., dosen DIKE UGM, yang membawakan materi berjudul “Cybersecurity: Edukasi Digital untuk Bertahan di Negeri Seberang”. Dalam paparannya, Dr. Aina membahas berbagai bentuk ancaman digital yang kerap menimpa PMI, seperti romance scam, phishing, sextortion, hingga penipuan lowongan kerja palsu yang marak melalui media sosial dan aplikasi percakapan. Ia juga menyampaikan berbagai strategi pencegahan, seperti penggunaan autentikasi dua faktor (2FA), cara mengenali domain palsu, dan pentingnya menyimpan data pribadi dengan aman. “Jaga data pribadimu seperti kamu menjaga paspor dan dompet,” ujar Dr. Aina, mengingatkan peserta untuk tidak mudah percaya pada janji-janji manis di dunia maya.

Selain paparan materi, kegiatan ini juga memberikan panduan tentang langkah-langkah jika menjadi korban kejahatan digital, termasuk prosedur pelaporan ke lembaga resmi seperti KBRI, BP2MI, atau melalui platform pelaporan daring. Ketua SBMI Kuala Lumpur menyampaikan bahwa kegiatan ini membekali PMI dengan literasi digital yang kuat agar tidak menjadi korban penipuan daring. “Dengan pemahaman yang memadai, pekerja migran dapat lebih percaya diri dan terlindungi saat berselancar di ruang digital,” ungkapnya.

Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari International Community Service UGM dan sejalan dengan misi universitas sebagai institusi yang locally rooted, globally respected. Kegiatan ini juga mendukung pencapaian Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs), khususnya dalam memperluas akses edukasi digital (SDG 4), melindungi pekerja migran dari dampak ekonomi kejahatan siber (SDG 8), mengurangi ketimpangan akses informasi (SDG 10), memperkuat perlindungan hak digital dan keadilan (SDG 16), serta mendorong kolaborasi lintas lembaga dan negara dalam penguatan literasi digital (SDG 17).
