DIKE UGM Dorong Pemahaman Mahasiswa terhadap Sistem Kendali melalui Praktikum Berbasis Simulasi dan Coding

Yogyakarta, 25 Juni 2025 – Praktikum Sistem Kendali merupakan salah satu mata kuliah praktik yang diselenggarakan di Laboratorium Elektronika Dasar, Departemen Ilmu Komputer dan Elektronika (DIKE) FMIPA UGM. Praktikum ini dirancang untuk membantu mahasiswa memahami konsep sistem kendali secara menyeluruh, baik dari sisi teori maupun penerapannya dalam praktik. Mahasiswa mempelajari cara kerja sistem dinamis melalui simulasi dan pengendalian perangkat, dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak Visual Studio Code dan board mikrokontroler Arduino Uno.

Proses pembelajaran dalam praktikum ini dilakukan melalui pendekatan berbasis simulasi dan coding, di mana mahasiswa menyusun algoritma pengendali, menganalisis respon sistem, dan menyetel parameter kendali agar sistem berfungsi dengan baik. Pada praktiknya, mahasiswa dilatih untuk berpikir sistematis, melakukan evaluasi terhadap hasil uji coba, serta mengembangkan solusi berbasis data.

Selama praktikum berlangsung, mahasiswa mengerjakan berbagai studi kasus yang berkaitan dengan sistem kendali, seperti pengendalian suhu, kecepatan motor, dan sistem posisi. Dalam proses ini, mereka belajar memahami karakteristik sistem dan menyesuaikan logika kendali berdasarkan kondisi yang dihadapi. Selain itu, pendekatan berbasis simulasi memberikan fleksibilitas bagi mahasiswa untuk mengeksplorasi rancangan tanpa khawatir terhadap risiko kerusakan komponen fisik, sehingga pembelajaran menjadi lebih efektif dan mendalam.

Praktikum ini juga membekali mahasiswa dengan dasar untuk menciptakan solusi teknologi yang dapat diimplementasikan di masyarakat. Serta mahasiswa dibiasakan untuk menyusun sistem yang efektif, menghindari penggunaan komponen yang tidak perlu, serta melakukan evaluasi terhadap desain kendali yang dibuat. 

Praktikum sistem kendali juga mendukung pencapaian Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs). Pada SDG 4 (Pendidikan Berkualitas), praktikum ini memberikan pembelajaran dengan penggabungan teori dan praktik. SDG 9 (Industri, Inovasi, dan Infrastruktur) tercermin dari kemampuan mahasiswa dalam merancang sistem kendali yang inovatif dan adaptif. Sementara itu, SDG 11 (Kota dan Permukiman yang Berkelanjutan) serta SDG 12 (Konsumsi dan Produksi yang Bertanggung Jawab) diwujudkan melalui proyek-proyek yang mengedepankan efisiensi, keberlanjutan, dan tanggung jawab teknologi.
