DIKE UGM Gelar Student Gathering Mahasiswa Baru 2025

Yogyakarta, 23 Agustus 2025 – Departemen Ilmu Komputer dan Elektronika (DIKE) UGM menyelenggarakan Student Gathering Mahasiswa Baru 2025 di Auditorium Herman Johannes, Gedung D Lantai 7 FMIPA UGM. Acara ini dihadiri oleh dosen serta mahasiswa baru dari jenjang S1, S2, hingga S3, dan dirancang untuk memperkenalkan lingkungan akademik DIKE sekaligus membekali mahasiswa baru dalam mempersiapkan perjalanan perkuliahan.

Acara dibuka dengan sambutan sekaligus penjelasan dari Kepala Departemen IKE, Wahyono, S.Kom., Ph.D. Beliau memaparkan seluk-beluk DIKE, mulai dari sejarah, mitra internasional, program double degree dan fast track, bantuan pendanaan mahasiswa, hingga berbagai kegiatan organisasi dan kemahasiswaan yang dapat diikuti.

Selanjutnya, Sekretaris Departermen IKE, Dr. Andi Dharmawan, S.Si., M.Cs. memberikan penjelasan mengenai fasilitas yang tersedia di DIKE. Fasilitas tersebut mencakup ruang belajar untuk S1, S2, dan S3, laboratorium dasar, serta sembilan laboratorium riset yaitu Lab Algoritma dan Komputasi (AK), Lab Elektronika Dasar, Lab Instrumentasi Dasar, Lab Komputer Dasar, Lab Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak dan Data (RPLD), Lab Riset Elektronika dan Instrumentasi (ELINS), Lab Riset Sistem Cerdas (SC), Lab Riset Sistem Komputer dan Jaringan (SKJ), dan Lab Sistem Tertanam dan Robotika (STR). Mahasiswa juga memiliki akses ke fasilitas penunjang seperti sekretariat, IUP Lounge, DIKE Lounge, HPC/NVIDIA, serta layanan UGM seperti MS Office 365, akses jurnal internasional, Google Drive, dan One Drive.

Sesi berikutnya menghadirkan seminar kesehatan mental bertema “Code Your Mental Wellness: Strategi Menjaga Kesehatan Mental untuk Mahasiswa Sukses” oleh Aisha Sekar Lazuardini Rachmanie, S.Psi., M.Psi., Psikolog. Beliau membahas definisi kesehatan mental, tantangan khusus mahasiswa dalam perkuliahan, serta pentingnya memahami kesehatan mental untuk mencegah overwhelmed, menjaga fokus, mendukung kreativitas, hingga membangun hubungan sosial yang sehat. Strategi menjaga kesehatan mental disampaikan melalui manajemen waktu, self-care rutin, teknik relaksasi, hingga membangun support system.

Dalam kesimpulan, Aisha menekankan pentingnya self-awareness, deteksi dini stres, manajemen stres berkelanjutan, menghargai perbedaan pemicu stres setiap individu, serta membuat Personal Mental Health Plan. Ia menegaskan bahwa menjaga kesehatan mental adalah investasi jangka panjang yang sama pentingnya dengan kesehatan fisik. Sesi tanya jawab berlangsung interaktif, salah satunya menyinggung peran AI dalam kaitannya dengan pekerjaan psikolog dan psikiater. Di akhir sesi, Aisha juga memandu praktik relaksasi singkat bagi peserta.

Acara kemudian dilanjutkan dengan perkenalan lebih detail mengenai laboratorium riset DIKE. Rangkaian kegiatan ditutup dengan sesi foto bersama seluruh peserta dan dosen, menandai berakhirnya Student Gathering Mahasiswa Baru DIKE UGM 2025.

Kegiatan ini sejalan dengan Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), khususnya SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) melalui seminar kesehatan mental yang menekankan pentingnya keseimbangan diri, serta SDG 4 (Quality Education) dengan pengenalan fasilitas akademik dan riset yang menunjang kualitas pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, Student Gathering ini tidak hanya mempererat kebersamaan, tetapi juga mempersiapkan mahasiswa baru untuk berkembang secara akademik, sosial, dan personal.
