DIKE UGM Selenggarakan Seminar Guest Lecture Bertema Research Data Management dan AI Literacy

Yogyakarta, 23 Juni 2025 – Departemen Ilmu Komputer dan Elektronika (DIKE) FMIPA UGM menyelenggarakan seminar Guest Lecturer: Research Data Management and AI Literacy yang menghadirkan pembicara dari Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Malaysia dan TU Wien, Austria. Acara ini dilaksanakan secara hybrid di Ruang Turing DIKE, dan melalui platform Zoom, serta diikuti oleh mahasiswa dari Universitas Gadjah Mada dan Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM).

Seminar ini dibuka oleh moderator Dr.techn. Guntur Budi Herwanto, dosen DIKE UGM, yang memandu dua sesi pemaparan materi. Sesi pertama diisi oleh Dr. Nadia Abdul Wahab, Senior Lecturer dari UiTM Cawangan Perlis, Malaysia, yang membawakan topik “Educating with AI: A Personal Reflection and Practical Toolkit.” Dalam materinya, Dr. Nadia membahas beragam aspek penggunaan AI dalam konteks pendidikan, dimulai dari tren pertumbuhan jumlah pengguna AI di dunia, pemanfaatan AI dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, hingga perannya sebagai alat bantu dalam proses belajar-mengajar. Ia juga membandingkan berbagai tools AI yang umum digunakan dalam riset, serta memperkenalkan beberapa aplikasi AI yang relevan bagi mahasiswa, seperti untuk peringkasan teks, penyusunan laporan, dan pembuatan presentasi.

Lebih lanjut, Dr. Nadia menyampaikan pentingnya pemahaman etis dalam menggunakan AI, terutama dalam dunia akademik. Ia mengingatkan mahasiswa agar mampu membedakan hasil pemikiran mandiri dengan konten yang dihasilkan oleh AI, untuk menjaga kejujuran intelektual. Di akhir sesi, Dr. Nadia juga menyampaikan bahwa meskipun AI semakin canggih, peran manusia tetap krusial dalam membangun dan mengembangkan teknologi ini. Profesi seperti pengembang alat bantu berbasis AI, AI engineer, hingga spesialis integrasi sistem akan tetap sangat dibutuhkan di masa depan.

Sesi kedua dilanjutkan oleh Dr. Florina Piroi, peneliti senior dari Centre for Research Data Management (CRDM), TU Wien, Austria. Dr. Piroi memaparkan materi berjudul Introduction into Research Data Management, yang membahas siklus pengelolaan data, identifikasi data secara persisten, lisensi penggunaan, serta prinsip-prinsip FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable). Ia juga mengajak peserta untuk memahami pentingnya dokumentasi, pemilihan repositori yang tepat, serta pengelolaan metadata agar data riset dapat dibagikan dan dimanfaatkan kembali secara bertanggung jawab dan efisien.

Kemudian acara dilanjutkan dengan sesi tanya jawab yang berlangsung aktif dengan antusiasme peserta yang tinggi. Sejumlah pertanyaan tantangan pengelolaan big data di masa depan, terutama untuk data kesehatan yang sangat sensitif. Persoalan kepemilikan data dan potensi konflik kepentingan dalam publikasi yang melibatkan sponsor juga menjadi perhatian khusus. Dan acara ditutup dengan sesi foto bersama.

Seminar ini sekaligus mendukung implementasi Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs), khususnya SDG 4 (Pendidikan Berkualitas) melalui penyelenggaraan forum akademik yang kolaboratif dan terbuka, SDG 9 (Industri, Inovasi, dan Infrastruktur) melalui inovasi dan pengelolaan data ilmiah berbasis teknologi, serta SDG 16 (Perdamaian, Keadilan, dan Kelembagaan yang Tangguh) dengan menekankan pentingnya transparansi, etika, dan tanggung jawab dalam ekosistem penelitian.
