HIMMAKA UGM dan GDG Jogjakarta Kolaborasi Selenggarakan Google I/O Extended Yogyakarta 2025

Yogyakarta, 27 Juli 2025 – Himpunan Mahasiswa Magister Kecerdasan Artifisial (HIMMAKA) Universitas Gadjah Mada berkolaborasi dengan Google Developer Group (GDG) Jogjakarta dalam menyelenggarakan Google I/O Extended Yogyakarta 2025. Bertempat di Auditorium RMJT Soehakso FMIPA UGM, acara ini menghadirkan eksplorasi seputar kecerdasan artifisial (AI) dan penerapannya secara praktis di bidang Web, Cloud, dan Android. Melalui sesi talkshow dan workshop, peserta diajak membangun aplikasi cerdas dengan berbagai teknologi Google terkini seperti Gemini, Firebase, dan Vertex AI.

Acara yang berlangsung dari pagi hingga sore ini dibuka dengan sambutan dari Danang Juffry selaku Google Community Manager, yang kemudian dilanjutkan oleh sambutan dari Prof. Dr. Azhari, M.T., mewakili Departemen Ilmu Komputer dan Elektronika (DIKE) UGM. Dalam sambutannya, Prof. Azhari menyampaikan tentang pengembangan AI Agent sebagai salah satu bagian penting dalam transformasi digital masa kini. Sesi sambutan ditutup oleh Prof. Drs. Roto, M.Eng., Ph.D., Wakil Dekan Bidang Pendidikan, Pengajaran, dan Kemahasiswaan FMIPA UGM, yang mengajak seluruh peserta baik dari kalangan akademik, profesional, maupun komunitas untuk terus meningkatkan kompetensi di bidang teknologi, untuk menjawab tantangan era digital yang semakin kompleks.

Sesi talkshow diawali oleh Rifki Afina Putri, S.T., M.S., Ph.D., dosen DIKE FMIPA UGM, yang membawakan materi terkait Measuring Diverse Cultural Knowledge in Language Models. Dilanjutkan oleh pemaparan dari Google Developer Experts (GDE) yaitu Ibnu Sina Wardy dan Joan Santoso yang mengulas pengembangan smart agents menggunakan Google Agent Development Kit (ADK) serta penerapan AI/ML dalam aplikasi cerdas.

Google I/O Extended 2025 juga menghadirkan empat workshop paralel yaitu, Web Workshop bersama Alysia Alfi, Cloud Workshop bersama Qassie, AI Workshop bersama Stevani Dwi Utomo dan Android Workshop bersama Andhika Yuana. Keempatnya membuka ruang eksplorasi teknologi Google secara langsung, mulai dari teknik membangun aplikasi berbasis web, pemanfaatan layanan cloud, integrasi AI, hingga pengembangan aplikasi Android yang interaktif.

Pada sesi siang menghadirkan pemateri seperti Andrew Kurniadi, Eka Jayani Ayuningtyas, Ananda Dwi Rahmawati dan Sandika Galih. Mereka membahas beragam topik terkini, mulai dari pengembangan aplikasi imersif, optimalisasi proses coding dengan bantuan AI, penyusunan pipeline LLM di GKE, hingga implementasi animasi CSS modern untuk meningkatkan tampilan antarmuka pengguna. Setiap sesi disambut antusias oleh para peserta, yang aktif berdiskusi dan mengajukan pertanyaan selama sesi tanya jawab berlangsung.

Melalui kolaborasi ini, HIMMAKA UGM menunjukkan peran mahasiswa dalam membangun ruang-ruang pembelajaran yang strategis, sekaligus menjembatani pertukaran pengetahuan antara dunia akademik dan komunitas teknologi. Serta, kegiatan ini juga berkontribusi terhadap pencapaian Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs), khususnya SDG 4 (Pendidikan Berkualitas), SDG 9 (Industri, Inovasi, dan Infrastruktur), serta SDG 17 (Kemitraan untuk Tujuan).
