Lab Elins DIKE UGM Laksanakan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat di Sriharjo melalui Pemasangan Agri Watch Node dan Edukasi Teknologi Pertanian

Sriharjo, 7 Oktober 2025 – Laboratorium Elektronika dan Instrumentasi (Elins), Departemen Ilmu Komputer dan Elektronika (DIKE) FMIPA UGM melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di Desa Sriharjo, Imogiri, Bantul pada 7 September 2025. Kegiatan ini mengusung tema sinergi antara inovasi teknologi dan edukasi masyarakat dengan fokus pada pemasangan alat Agri Watch Node, perangkat pemantauan berbasis sensor yang dikembangkan untuk mendukung pertanian cerdas dan berkelanjutan.

Acara diawali dengan sambutan dari Kepala Desa Sriharjo, Bapak Sugiyanto, yang menyampaikan apresiasi atas inisiatif dan kolaborasi antara UGM dan masyarakat. Ia menyampaikan bahwa teknologi seperti Agri Watch Node sangat dibutuhkan untuk membantu petani menghadapi tantangan cuaca dan pengelolaan lahan. “Kami berharap alat ini bisa membantu petani membaca kondisi tanah dan cuaca, sehingga hasil panen dapat lebih optimal,” ujarnya.

Kemudian dilanjutkan pemaparan oleh Dr. Raden Sumiharto, S.Si., M.Kom., selaku Kepala Laboratorium Elektronika dan Instrumentasi, memaparkan pentingnya pemanfaatan teknologi dalam meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian. Ia menjelaskan bahwa Agri Watch Node dirancang untuk memantau parameter lingkungan seperti suhu, kelembapan, dan kondisi tanah secara real-time. Data ini akan membantu petani membuat keputusan berbasis informasi, yang pada akhirnya berdampak pada efisiensi dan peningkatan hasil produksi.

Selain pemasangan alat, tim juga memberikan pelatihan penggunaan Agri Watch Node kepada masyarakat dan kelompok tani setempat. Melalui sesi interaktif, peserta diperkenalkan pada cara membaca data sensor, menginterpretasikan hasil pengukuran, dan mengintegrasikannya dalam praktik pertanian sehari-hari. Pendekatan ini tidak hanya memperkenalkan teknologi baru, tetapi juga membangun kemampuan agar masyarakat dapat mandiri dalam pemeliharaan dan pemanfaatannya. Kegiatan ini disambut antusias oleh masyarakat. Para petani terlihat aktif berdiskusi dan mencoba langsung alat yang dipasang. Beberapa di antaranya bahkan menyampaikan ide pengembangan lanjutan agar perangkat ini bisa disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan pertanian lokal. 

Melalui kegiatan ini, Lab Elins DIKE UGM turut mendukung pencapaian Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs), khususnya SDG 2 (Tanpa Kelaparan) melalui peningkatan ketahanan pangan, SDG 9 (Industri, Inovasi, dan Infrastruktur) lewat penerapan teknologi tepat guna, serta SDG 17 (Kemitraan untuk Mencapai Tujuan) melalui kolaborasi antara akademisi dan masyarakat.
