Sriharjo, 10 Agustus 2025 – Laboratorium Sistem Komputer dan Jaringan (SKJ) DIKE UGM laksanakan survei lapangan di Dusun Sriharjo sebagai bagian dari program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM). Kegiatan ini melibatkan 13 mahasiswa yang tergabung dalam Himpunan Mahasiswa Elektronika dan Instrumentasi (HMEI) serta Elins Research Club (ERC), dengan pendampingan dari tiga dosen, yaitu Muhammad Husni Santriaji, S.Si., M.T., M.S., Ph.D. (Lab SKJ), Roghib Muhammad Hujja, S.Si., M.Cs. (Lab Elins), dan Dr. Raden Sumiharto, S.Si., M.Kom. (Lab Elins).

Survei ini sebagai persiapan awal pemasangan perangkat pemantauan kualitas tanah berbasis teknologi. Perangkat tersebut dirancang untuk mengukur parameter penting seperti kelembaban, suhu, dan kandungan unsur hara tanah. Data yang dihasilkan diharapkan dapat membantu petani mengelola lahan secara lebih efektif, mengoptimalkan penggunaan sumber daya, serta mendukung pertanian yang berkelanjutan.

Tim disambut hangat oleh Kepala Dusun Sriharjo, Bapak Sugiyanto, yang memberikan arahan terkait lokasi strategis pemasangan alat. Penentuan lokasi dilakukan dengan mempertimbangkan jangkauan sinyal, efektivitas pemantauan, serta aksesibilitas bagi petani. Tahap ini menjadi krusial agar perangkat dapat bekerja optimal dalam memantau kondisi lahan.

Selain survei lokasi, tim juga melakukan pengujian koneksi Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), teknologi komunikasi nirkabel hemat daya yang ideal untuk perangkat lapangan dengan suplai energi terbatas. Pengujian ini memastikan perangkat dapat terhubung secara stabil dan mengirimkan data pemantauan secara efisien, sehingga hasil pengukuran dapat diakses secara real-time oleh pengguna.

Kegiatan ini juga mendukung pencapaian Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs), yaitu SDG 9 (Industri, Inovasi, dan Infrastruktur), SDG 11 (Kota dan Permukiman yang Berkelanjutan), serta SDG 17 (Kemitraan untuk Mencapai Tujuan). Melalui integrasi teknologi ramah lingkungan dan kerja sama lintas sektor, program ini tidak hanya mengasah keterampilan mahasiswa, tetapi juga memperkuat kolaborasi antara universitas dan masyarakat. Serta, memberikan kesempatan bagi mahasiswa untuk memahami kebutuhan lapangan sekaligus menerapkan teknologi tepat guna dalam menjawab tantangan di sektor pertanian desa.
