Lab SKJ DIKE UGM Lakukan Survei Awal Implementasi Sistem Smart Monitoring di MAN 2 Yogyakarta

Yogyakarta, 13 Oktober 2025 – Laboratorium Sistem Komputer dan Jaringan (Lab SKJ), Departemen Ilmu Komputer dan Elektronika (DIKE) FMIPA Universitas Gadjah Mada, laksankan survei awal Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) bertajuk “Peningkatan Sistem Keamanan dan Kedisiplinan Siswa melalui Teknologi Smart Monitoring di MAN 2 Yogyakarta.” 

Survei awal dilaksanakan pada Senin, 13 Oktober 2025, oleh Muhammad Oriza Nurfajri, S.Kom., M.IT., dosen anggota Lab SKJ sekaligus ketua pelaksana kegiatan. Tim disambut hangat oleh Kanit Multimedia dan Humas MAN 2 Yogyakarta, yang menyampaikan antusiasme dan dukungan terhadap rencana implementasi sistem berbasis teknologi cerdas tersebut. Survei ini untuk memetakan kebutuhan perangkat presensi digital dan sistem izin siswa yang akan diintegrasikan dengan teknologi Internet of Things (IoT).

Dalam diskusi bersama pihak sekolah, tim Lab SKJ UGM meninjau berbagai area strategis yang berpotensi menjadi lokasi pemasangan alat smart monitoring berbasis face recognition, seperti gerbang utama, area kelas, dan ruang kegiatan siswa. Sistem ini diharapkan mampu menggantikan metode konvensional yang selama ini masih memiliki keterbatasan dalam jangkauan dan belum mendukung analisis data secara real-time. Melalui implementasi teknologi ini, pihak sekolah dapat melakukan pemantauan aktivitas siswa secara lebih efektif dan transparan, sekaligus memperkuat tata kelola keamanan di lingkungan madrasah.

Menurut Muhammad Oriza, kegiatan ini menjadi bagian dari upaya membangun ekosistem smart school yang terintegrasi dan berkelanjutan. “Tahap awal survei ini penting untuk memastikan sistem yang kami kembangkan benar-benar sesuai dengan kebutuhan sekolah, mudah diadaptasi, serta dapat diperluas ke seluruh area madrasah di masa mendatang,” ujarnya. Ia juga menambahkan bahwa keberhasilan program ini sangat bergantung pada kolaborasi aktif antara pihak perguruan tinggi dan sekolah dalam memahami konteks lapangan dan menyiapkan infrastruktur pendukung yang memadai.

Selain berfokus pada penerapan teknologi, program ini juga sejalan dengan pencapaian Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Inisiatif digitalisasi sistem monitoring di sekolah menengah selaras dengan SDG 4 tentang pendidikan berkualitas melalui penguatan manajemen sekolah yang aman dan kondusif, serta SDG 9 yang menekankan pentingnya inovasi dan infrastruktur digital di sektor pendidikan. Di sisi lain, penerapan sistem berbasis data real-time juga mendukung SDG 16 tentang kelembagaan yang transparan dan akuntabel, serta SDG 17 yaitu pentingnya kemitraan antar lembaga dalam menciptakan solusi berkelanjutan.
