Master Program in Computer Sciences

Master Program in Computer Science is held in Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta, which is located at Sekip Utara, Bulaksumur, Yogyakarta. Master Program of Computer Science is an academic-oriented education level, and its graduates get M.Kom (Magister Komputer) degree, in accordance with SK Dirjen DIKTI. 259 / DIKTI / Kep / 1999 dated 27 May 1999 tertanggal 27 Mei 1999 tentang pendirian Program Studi S2 Ilmu Komputer, Universitas Gadjah Mada. On 1997, this study program is one of interest in Mathematics Math Program, Mathematics Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada. With the development of information technology, as well as the increasing needs of the community for human resources who have the ability to build, handle, and engineer information systems and technology, it is felt necessary to develop a Master Program in Computer Science separate from the Master Degree of Mathematics Study Program starting in 1999. The study is supported by faculty members in the Computer Science Expertise Group, and the Group of Expertise in Electronics and Instrumentation, all under the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UGM. Starting from Academic year of 2002/2003, Master program of Computer Science program opened 6 (six) program of specialization:

  1. Computer Science
  2. Intelligent Systems
  3. Software Engineering
  4. Computer Systems and Networking
  5. Electronics and Instrumentation
  6. Information Management

Starting from the Academic Year of 2008/2009 for graduation period of July 2008, Master Program in Computer Science will get M.Cs (Master of Computer Science) according to SK Rektor UGM .No. 292/P/SK/HT/2008 pada tanggal 2 Juni 2008 tentang “GELAR DAN SEBUTAN LULUSAN PROGRAM PASCASARJANA (S2) UNIVERSITAS GADJAH MADA”
