Challenges in the research and development of cyber systems (cyber systems) are currently getting a boost with the presence of Industry 4.0. Cyber systems, better known as architecture consisting of computer systems, networks, applications and databases, have turned into cyber systems consisting of Internet of Things, Big Data and Artificial Intelligence. This is unavoidable because the digital transformation that happened has changed from the analog to digital paradigm. In the industrial area there has been a major shift from the implementation of analog engine-based systems to information control, instrumentation and management, replaced by digital-based enterprise applications and systems.

Computer Systems and Network Research Laboratories view the importance of the Cyber System issue for government organisations in the DIY Province. This is also in line with the SKJ Lab research and community service roadmap for 2018 to 2023 which focuses on Big Data Cyber Security Digital Signal Processing and Embedded System Intelligent Environment On May 2, 2019 at the UC Hotel UGM, a Focus Group Discussion was held which was attended by representatives of the Communication and Information Services of several Regional Governments around UGM. Community Service Activities The SKJ Research Lab will take the form of a Focus Group Discussion activity entitled “Strategy and Best Practices for Information Security Management to support e-Government and Smart City”. He conveyed the importance of collaboration between the University and the Regional Government in facing the challenges of cyber that are currently strengthening.

Cyber systems are the architecture and configuration of technological components in the form of computer systems (operating systems and hardware), computer networks, applications and information systems, and databases. Cyber systems have the ability to deliver centralised computing and multitasking for computing or processing certain data. This cyber system can work for office, communication and management information systems in accordance with the business processes running on the organisation.

This FGD activity was carried out with discussion and discussion with the following objectives Identify the problems and challenges of cyber security in the government environment Providing knowledge and cyber security strategic planning Produce cyber security recommendations for Smart City Implementation in Local Governments In the first session, Dr. Agfianto Eko Putro who discussed the Cyber Threats and the risks, and then the discussion by Dr. Tri Kuntoro Priyambodo who discussed the concept of e-Government for the cyber system, which was led by discussions by moderator I Gede Mujiyatna, M.Kom.

In the second session, Dr. techn. Ahmad Ashari who discussed the Smart City concept, and then the discussion by Drs. Bambang N Prastowo, M.Sc who discussed the challenges of cyber security in the era of social media, which was led by discussions by moderator Idham Ananta Timur, M.Kom. Chair of the Computer and Network System Research Lab, Dr. Mardhani Riasetiawan stated that this activity was a form of representation of expertise possessed by the University which was then inspired by the Community in this case the Regional Government as a form of community service and joint collaboration. This activity will be a routine Research Lab activity to further enhance future collaboration and collaboration.
