Amazon Educate Program Seminar

 On Tuesday 17 October 2017, the Department of Computer Science and Electronics FMIPA UGM in cooperation with Amazon held a seminar session on “Amazon Educate Program”. This activity is a realization of academic quality improvement through collaboration and global industry network especially for Computer Science study program and Department, and Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universities Gadjah Mada.

Located at Multimedia Room FMIPA UGM, the activities are held from 10.00 to 12.30. The seminar discusses Amazon as a global provider of infrastructure that can be accessed through cloud technology and various services, as well as educational programs for the general public. Ms. Shang Gao, Ph.D, Amazon’s eduate program manager presents how the company provides cloud services to support the diverse needs of data placement and storage to its bigdata and analytic services. It is certainly very appropriate to support and prepare UGM students to gain knowledge and skills of cloud technology that approximate the needs of the industry, as presented by Dr. Azhari SN, MT in the opening of the event as Secretary of the Department. The program prepared for UGM will be enjoyed by lecturers, instructors and students optimally. DIKE will respond quickly by optimizing this opportunity to really be utilized semaksimalnya by UGM academic community widely.
