DIKE Students Won a Medal on i-IDeA Competition in UiTM Perlis Malaysia

A team consist of 7 students from UGM, including 4 students from Electronics and Instrumentation Program DIKE FMIPA UGM (Ardi Yusri Hilmi, Eko Putra Wijaya, Epilia Rifa, Wahyu Agung Wicaksono)
won some medals in the international arena. The team under Lukman Awaludin, M.Cs supervision from DIKE FMIPA UGM, managed to get a Gold Medal and a Special Award in Indonesian International Invention Festival on 19 April 2018. They also won a Bronze Medal and a Special Award in i-IDeA, held by UiTM Perlis Malaysia on 25 April 2018.

The team promotes an Idea called “GARUDA UAV FLIGHT GROUP”, an unmanned aircraft configuration that consists of a Mothership Aircraft, and Slave Aircraft (smaller  than Mothership Aircraft.) The Mothership Aircraft was built to carry the Slave Aircraft, and then let it go, so the Slave Aircraft can achieve more flying distance on its own and get closer to the target. The Slave Aircraft also built to move quickly and agile, that helps a close-proximity mission, like a monitoring mission from a close range.
