The 3rd International Conference on Soft Computing in Data Science 2017 (SCDS2017) was held in Yogyakarta (Royal Ambarrukmo Yogyakarta) from 27-28 November 2017. The conference theme is ‘Science in Analytics: Utilizing Data and Simplifying Solutions’. SCDS2017 has invited renowned international and local speakers who are academics or practitioners to share their knowledge and experience in the field of soft computing in various disciplines. The conference aims to provide a platform for researchers and practitioners to share their research work and to create rigorous international research collaborations. The conference was organized by the Department of Computer Science and Electronics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UGM with UiTM Malaysia.

Research collaboration between academia and industry can lead to advanced analytics and computing applications that are useful for providing real time insights and solutions. All accepted conference documents will be published in Springer.
