Mahasiswa DIKE UGM Presentasikan Penelitian FPGA-Based Hardware Signature Authenticator di ICCRE 2025 Jepang

Jepang, 11 Mei 2025 – Mahasiswa Program Studi Sarjana Elektronika dan Instrumentasi, Departemen Ilmu Komputer dan Elektronika (DIKE), Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), berhasil mempresentasikan hasil penelitiannya dalam konferensi internasional The 10th International Conference on Control and Robotics Engineering (ICCRE 2025) yang diselenggarakan pada 9 sampai 11 Mei 2025 di Nagoya, Jepang.

Penelitian yang dilakukan berjudul “FPGA-Based Hardware Signature Authenticator with IC-Security for Securing Robot-to-Robot Communications”. Penelitian ini merupakan tugas akhir dari Irfansyah Peradeniya, dengan dosen pembimbing yaitu Prof. Dr. Ir. Jazi Eko Istiyanto, M.Sc. dan Oskar Natan, Ph.D. Penelitian ini menawarkan solusi autentikasi perangkat keras berbasis teknologi FPGA yang dirancang khusus untuk mengamankan komunikasi antar robot dalam sistem robotika modern.

Sistem autentikasi ini memanfaatkan tanda tangan digital di tingkat perangkat keras (hardware signature) yang diintegrasikan dengan pendekatan IC-security. Kombinasi ini bertujuan untuk mencegah berbagai ancaman seperti spoofing, eavesdropping, dan penyusupan perangkat ilegal yang dapat mengganggu komunikasi robotik. Solusi ini dinilai sangat relevan untuk mendukung kolaborasi antar robot (robot-to-robot collaboration) di lingkungan industri maupun layanan publik.

Keunggulan utama dari sistem ini terletak pada kemampuannya untuk bekerja secara real-time dengan latensi rendah, serta efisiensi dalam menjamin keamanan identitas dan integritas data antar perangkat. Implementasinya juga memperlihatkan fleksibilitas teknologi FPGA sebagai platform pengembangan sistem keamanan tertanam (embedded security system) yang adaptif dan dapat diskalakan.

Penelitian Irfansyah dan tim pembimbing di ICCRE 2025 tidak hanya menjadi pencapaian akademik, tetapi juga membuktikan bahwa mahasiswa sarjana UGM mampu bersaing di tingkat internasional dan berkontribusi dalam pengembangan teknologi kritikal. Inovasi ini membuka peluang besar untuk diterapkan dalam sektor industri, militer, dan layanan publik, khususnya dalam pengembangan sistem keamanan robotik yang andal.

Melalui penelitian ini, DIKE menunjukkan komitmen dalam mendukung riset dan inovasi berbasis teknologi terkini. Penelitian ini juga berkontribusi langsung terhadap pencapaian Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs) poin ke-9: Industri, Inovasi, dan Infrastruktur, dengan mendorong pengembangan teknologi yang mendukung keberlanjutan industri.
