Peneliti DIKE UGM Kembangkan Model Parsing Semantik Berbasis Struktur Graf Hibrida

Yogyakarta, 21 Juni 2025 – Tim peneliti dari Departemen Ilmu Komputer dan Elektronika (DIKE), Fakultas MIPA, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), mengembangkan model parsing kalimat semantik berbasis struktur graf hibrida yang mampu memahami hubungan makna antar kata dalam kalimat secara lebih akurat. Model ini, bernama HybridGL, yang telah dipublikasikan dalam jurnal internasional bereputasi Neurocomputing edisi 646 tahun 2025.

HybridGL dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan kinerja Semantic Dependency Parsing (SDP), yaitu teknik penting dalam pemrosesan bahasa alami (NLP) yang bertujuan memahami relasi semantik antar kata dalam sebuah kalimat. Berbeda dari pendekatan konvensional yang mengandalkan kemiripan fitur, HybridGL menggabungkan kekuatan Graph Neural Network (GNN) dengan pendekatan Graph Structure Learning (GSL) yang mengadopsi prinsip homophily, sparsity, dan distribusi derajat, seperti rancangan dalam kerangka DGSLN.

Model ini membangun representasi struktur graf yang mencerminkan hubungan semantik secara lebih alami dan efisien, serta mengatasi berbagai keterbatasan metode terdahulu. Dalam uji coba menggunakan dataset SemEval 2015 Task 18 untuk bahasa Inggris, HybridGL meraih skor F1 sebesar 93,77% untuk data in-domain dan 92,27% untuk data out-of-domain, melampaui berbagai model baseline yang ada. Kinerja yang lebih baik juga terlihat pada kemampuannya dalam menangani kalimat panjang dan hubungan kata yang berjauhan.

Salah satu keunggulan teknis HybridGL terletak pada pemanfaatan GNN varian terbaru, yakni Graph Isomorphism Network (GIN) dan Graph Attention Network v2 (GATv2). Kedua arsitektur ini memungkinkan penangkapan informasi kompleks dari struktur graf secara lebih akurat dan efisien dibanding model-model sebelumnya.

Walaupun waktu pemrosesan HybridGL sedikit lebih lambat dibanding model sebelumnya yaitu DynGL, peningkatan akurasi yang signifikan membuat model ini dapat diimplementasikan pada berbagai aplikasi NLP yang membutuhkan pemahaman struktur kalimat secara mendalam seperti sistem tanya jawab, analisis sentimen, hingga penerjemahan otomatis.

Penelitian ini juga turut mendukung capaian Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) poin 9, yaitu membangun infrastruktur, mendorong industrialisasi dan meningkatkan inovasi. Dengan mengintegrasikan pendekatan graph-based learning dalam bidang pemrosesan bahasa alami, inovasi ini berpotensi mendorong kemajuan dalam berbagai sektor yang membutuhkan pemahaman bahasa tingkat lanjut, mulai dari layanan publik berbasis AI, sistem informasi hukum, hingga teknologi edukasi. Diharapkan, model HybridGL tidak hanya berkontribusi pada pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan, tetapi juga menjadi dasar dalam membangun teknologi bahasa yang lebih inklusif, efisien, dan adaptif.
